Without getting too wordy, this Blog will mostly cover Tenyo design from the 70s to the mid-90s. From 1994 until 2009 Tenyo moved to fully enclosed boxes for their Japanese releases - those packages are not at all imaginative in my opinion but worse, they don't show the prop. My interest is mostly in how the earlier designs incorporated the toy, the art and the package. Also, from 1994 until now most Tenyo products in the US have been packaged in plain plastic boxes and for a while cheap plastic bags.
At some point in the future this Blog may branch out into other magic and novelty manufacturers. However for now there is plenty of Tenyo to cover.
Please make comments but also please be nice. Tenyo products are mostly toys not serious magic props so please keep the comments in that spirit.
